Frequently asked questions
What makes Snake & Pig goggles different?
Unlike traditional swim goggles, Snake & Pig goggles feature air cushioned silicone seals. These cushions gently conform to the contours of your face, keeping water out without relying on strong suction or an overly tight strap.
This means less pressure around your eyes and greater comfort during long swims. Goggle marks after swimming are also generally less pronounced.
My goggles are leaking. What should I do?
First, make sure you're using the correct nose bridge size. A nose bridge that is too narrow or too wide can prevent the goggles from fitting properly around your eyes.
Try the different nose bridges included in the box to find the best fit for your face.
My goggles start fogging up shortly after I begin swimming. How can I prevent this?
The anti fog coating on the inside of the lenses may need to come into contact with water to become effective.
Dip your goggles in water, let the excess water drain out, then gently swipe the wet inner surface of the lenses with a clean fingertip or knuckle.
The anti fog coating may become less effective over time. If this happens, you can apply a thin layer of diluted baby shampoo.
Never wipe the inside of the lenses with a cloth or tissue.
How should I care for my Snake & Pig goggles?
After each swim, rinse your goggles with cold tap water and allow them to air dry.
Avoid wiping the inside of the lenses with a towel, microfiber cloth or tissue, as this may damage the anti fog coating.
Keep your goggles away from direct sunlight, excessive heat and chemicals.
My goggle strap is twisted. How can I fix it?
Hold one eyepiece steady and rotate the other around the nose bridge. This should straighten the strap.
If the strap becomes more twisted, repeat the process in the opposite direction.
How do I adjust the goggle buckles?
To tighten: Pull the silicone strap ends or plastic buckles backward.
To loosen: Pull the silicone strap ends or plastic buckles forward.
Are Snake & Pig goggles latex free?
Yes. Snake & Pig goggles are latex free.
The frame is made of thermoplastic rubber, the nose bridges are nylon, the lenses are polycarbonate, and the air cushions and strap are silicone.
How should I prepare my goggles before a race?
Rinse your goggles with clean water to remove any dust, sand or other debris.
Add a little water and a drop of conditioner free baby shampoo to the inside of the lenses. Gently spread the mixture with a clean fingertip, then empty it out.
Make sure a thin, even layer of moisture remains on the inner surface of the lenses. Then allow the goggles to air dry.
Do not dry the inside of the lenses with a towel or cloth.
